Dr James Burridge
Summary
My research interests lie in probability and statistical physics, applied to the social and natural world, including language evolution.
I am currently funded by the Royal Society and the Faraday Institution.
I studied Physics at the University of Warwick, followed by Maths Part III and a Ph.D. in Statistical Physics at Cambridge University. After my Ph.D. I worked in banking as a Quant in interest rate derivatives, and then as a school Mathematics and Physics teacher, before returning to academia in 2012.
