Biography
I am a Senior Lecturer in the School of Civil Engineering and Surveying at the 91¸£ÀûÍø.
Prior to my current position I worked for Arup as a Graduate Structural Engineer, Alan Wood & Partners as an Engineer, and Avize as a Principal Engineer.
I spent three years (2012-15) undertaking a PhD in blast effects on steel structures at the University of Southampton.
Research interests
Blast:
Blast interaction with buildings
Structural response to blast loading & static loading
Explosive fireball gauging
Fire / Thermal:
Explosive thermal loading
Thermo-mechanical response of structures under fire /thermal loading
Fire damage on cladding panels
Synergistic Response to Thermal and Blast Loading:
Combined response of strucutures to thermal and blast load
Steel material response to combined high strain, strain rate and thermal loading
